We're proud to release some of the research our machine learning team has been working on in collaboration with Vector Institute and University of Toronto.

Introducing PickStyle, our own AI-driven style transfer technique which is tuned to specifically to retain key identifying information from the source material. It can transform RGB videos and 3D-rendered videos into a variety of distinct styles while preserving the original motion, color, and personality. The model also shows strong potential for enabling 3D style transfer on 3D assets in future applications.

PickStyle uses low-rank style adapters and synthetic clip augmentation from paired images for training, and introduces Context-Style Classifier-Free Guidance (CS-CFG) to independently control content and style, achieving temporally consistent and style-faithful video results.

This is only the first time we've been able to share some of the groundbreaking ML research our team has been doing, but there will be more to come as we continue to explore new ways to create content.

We’re thrilled to have premiered Whispers in Busan as part of the Asian Content and Film Market + Busan International Film Festival. Whispers is our groundbreaking interactive murder mystery experience. Created by artists, writers, and actors, and powered by AI, Whispers allows audience members to move the story forward by whispering in the ears of the characters. 

In Busan, the audience used their phones to provide the characters with directions, which were implemented in real time on the big screen. Directed by 3x Emmy-winner Bernie Su and starring an all-star cast of voice actors like Brandon Soo Hoo (Tropic Thunder) and Stephen Chang (Bosch: Legacy), Whispers is a singular blend of creativity and technology. Like Bernie said, "It's a new art form that, at its speed and at its fidelity, cannot be done without the AI and technology that Pickford AI pioneered.”
