A behind the scenes look at Whispers
Oct 31, 2025
Learn about the development of Whispers from our CEO Stephen Piron, PM + showrunner Harrison Sanborn, and director Bernie Su. The team talks about their aspirations for Whispers + Pickford, as well as some thoughts around AI entertainment and the value of real artists and voice actors.
What’s it like to attend a Pickford screening?
Oct 20, 2025
It’s a unique experience to sit in a theater and actually contribute to the story happening in front of you on the big screen. Whispers allows the audience to become co-creators of the story in real-time. Audience input, feedback, and directions are incorporated live, resulting in a singular experience.
We recently debuted Whispers as part of ACFM + Busan International Film Festival, and the audience loved it. A few attendees were kind enough to share their thoughts with us post-screening. Check out their thoughts!
Introducing PickStyle
Oct 13, 2025
We're proud to release some of the research our machine learning team has been working on in collaboration with Vector Institute and University of Toronto.
Introducing PickStyle, our own AI-driven style transfer technique which is tuned to specifically to retain key identifying information from the source material. It can transform RGB videos and 3D-rendered videos into a variety of distinct styles while preserving the original motion, color, and personality. The model also shows strong potential for enabling 3D style transfer on 3D assets in future applications.
PickStyle uses low-rank style adapters and synthetic clip augmentation from paired images for training, and introduces Context-Style Classifier-Free Guidance (CS-CFG) to independently control content and style, achieving temporally consistent and style-faithful video results.
This is only the first time we've been able to share some of the groundbreaking ML research our team has been doing, but there will be more to come as we continue to explore new ways to create content.
